Decking has become a staple feature in 21st century garden design. Commonly used to add texture, colour and contrast to different areas of the garden, decking can be used as a path, a dining or seating area or as a pond surround.
Traditional wooden decking has been used in garden design for many years but landscapers and garden designers are increasingly turning to Composite Decking. At Dixons we have become big fans – here’s why.
Composite decking is a modern man-made material made up of wood fibre, plastic and bonding agents. Boards are easy to clean, low maintenance, non-slip and have a great longevity. Scratch and fade resistant, the boards do not crack or splinter and look extremely authentic. Unlike traditional wooden boards, composite decking does not need regular maintenance. Often supplied in a variety of colours and different wood grain patterns and matching fascias, no matter how big or small, composite decking is the perfect solution for any commercial or residential space.
Composite decking is perfect to be used around water. It is chlorine resistant so perfect to use around swimming pools. Above all, composite decking boards are algae proof – perhaps that is why we love them so much!
